il-divano1Well, this has been an intersting semester.  I had so much fun participating in the Mig and Tig-Project Lounge, and the following is my second half of the project.  My intention was to come up with a design that fit togeter, both the AV unit and the Sofa.  Hope you enjoy as much as I did!

Takuya Imoto FINAL

This is my Final Posting. It is very different from my first idea, but I came up with this concept when I went to a Japanese garden. The Bonsai, small tree  plant, has very sculptural and balanced shape, so I adapted the shape to my design. I also mixed Taiko, Japanese traditional drums, image with the design to give rhythm and movement.

EACH COMPONENT CAN BE CUSTOMIZED IN A VARIETY OF UPHOLSTERY – FROM LEATHER TO MOHAIR, THE OPTIONS ARE ENDLESS. THE PHASE SOFA TRANSFORMS FROM A SLEEK, MODERN SEATING OPTION INTO A SCULPTURAL PIECE IN ANY SPACE, INTO A QUEEN SIZED BED, AND BACK AGAIN. THE OPTIONS ARE ONLY AS LIMITED AS YOUR IMAGINATION.

Here is “The Zoey” named after my 5 week old niece, Zoey Christine.  Having enough storage is a vital part of any family’s life, but they shouldn’t have to sacrifice aesthetics for it.  “The Zoey” combines convenience, practicality, and a clean modern design.
